Destruction Of Our Connection.A Poem by Karina AndersonNumbing grip of mistrust takes hold. Jealous waves rage for control. Lost is the shared love once in the air. Obstacles we can’t get over cause tear.
Roughage to my heart- unsettling. Trying to make peace; but can’t let go. When your love hurts you, it’s permanent. Impossible it seems, to try and forget.
Left are the harsh words you said; Wouldn’t it be better, if we both cared? Crumbling edges of our connection, lost. Destructive actions; we must pay the cost.
Resurrected is the uncertainty I had. In you, I have abandoned all hope of future. It was your choice; unfortunate for you. It should have never existed, I was choice two.
Our wreckage now lies in an unburied grave. Somewhere no one can see, or even find. These two destinies- not meant to be. Crossed in a moment but needed to be freed.
Connective love that will never really fade. Even though the betrayal left it stained. Washed away is out forgotten potential. Sleep now; forget all of the trouble. © 2011 Karina AndersonAuthor's Note
