Falling Sensations[*]A Poem by Karina Anderson
Clam-y hands graze slick, greasy hair. Morning dew collects on the window. Dust off my eyes, at the ceiling I stare. Light has yet to brake, eyes droop low.
Consciousness sprinkling from my grasp. Lazing off into a direction far from here. Suddenly, all air is gone causing my gasp. Jolting forward; mind is penetrated with fear.
Falling, dropping, plummeting to nothing. Fingers stretch out for a grip, clawing. Hit hard; hit cold; hit right into fluffing. Bed surrounds you on all sides, harboring.
Chest shooting out and back, sides ache. Where am I? Where have I gone? That last drink before bed, was a mistake. Nerves finally calm " Witness dawn. © 2011 Karina AndersonAuthor's Note
