Bolivar Lighthouse

A Poem by AllenS
"

Childhood Memory

"
Image result for point bolivar lighthouse

Looming beneath clinging mist
A shapeless presence
Appears in the murky morning
Piercing skyward
Peering around
Pulling all to self
Beacon beckoning those adrift
Through narrow straight
To safe harbor

Amazing use of description. I was station for three years at Monterey. I loved the view and I love the lighthouses. Each one, different and beautiful. Thank you Allen for sharing the outstanding poetry.
