Connective TissueA Poem by AllenSJust write!
Sitting in this morning sanctuary
Volumes paper the walls that surround me My eyes graze fields sown by others. Suddenly, I am struck ... I have neglected my own wisdom In leu of others pearls. I pick up a ballpoint harvested from some teller window Ideas begin emerging crusted surface I write them down, Nonsensical at first, they begin to connect Like senews in the Valley of Dry Bones © 2019 AllenS |
