I hate when he leaves me.

Belong left alone
Makes me wonder
If you're all you're
Cracked up to be

My doubts and fears
Take over my thoughts
I think you're amazing
But people tell me you're fake
I'd like to believe
That you really love me
That your feelings are true

When you don't show up
All of the doubts and fears
Come play in my head
Tormenting me
I yell and scream
Hating you
Hating you for making
Me feel this way
I wish you didn't exist
I wish I'd never met you
I curse your name

But then you show up
I read your words
You tell me that your
Grandmother had died
And all my feelings of
Hatred and denial
Disappear as candy would
In front of a child
The I see your face
I see the sadness
I see how you mourn
For your loss
And my heart
Reaches out to you
I say something funny
Just to make you laugh
Just to make you feel better
Just to see you smile
And you do

By the time
We say have to say
Goodnight
We've pinky-promised
To tell each other
To leave a quick message
When we weren't going
To be online
So that we won't be
Hanging, feeling all
Of this doubt
We raise our pinkies
To the camera
And solemnly swear
Our faces dead serious
After a beat
We begin laughing
And blow air kisses
And say goodnight

There is so much emotion swirling around and co-mingling in this piece...just like love itself, right? :P I don't know if this is autobiographical but you captured the sentiment wonderfully :)
