Lemniscate

Lemniscate

A Poem by Asiatic Fox

The flesh battle has been long and weary,
and it has rendered me like a stone in the rapids.

I have become only a fraction of the man I was...
but now, with a victory so close (I can almost taste it),
I shall be better than I have ever been.

Lemniscate I shall become.

More intrigue! The title is a good entry point into this short poem (after reading it, i wonder whether the writer is a mathematician and what infty represents -infinity?). You drove me to the dictionary with 'lemniscate', but perhaps that's what gave me a clue about the title. I wonder how you were rendered like a stone in rapids: smooth, battered, tossed around? Good writing.
