Me

Me

A Poem by Itumeleng Molokomme

I'm not a poet
I paint portraits of emotion in your soul
My thoughts play with your imagination
Remind you of thing past and those to come
Mental optics
I'm an artist
I'm not an artist
I write notes in your medulla
Notes chained, stimulating your core
My words tell stories
I'm an author
I'm not an author
I heal wounds and mend shuttered souls
My pains sooth you
My joy you draw from
So what am I?
I am water to deserts
I am the light to brighten your dark path
Your shadow, for company in the light

I love the line "I am the light to brighten your dark path... Your shadow, for company in the light". If that's you...its more than enough.
