65A Poem by sansameSomething I wrote to celebrate my great grandparents 65th anniversary. Strong love always lasts!
In your eyes we detect harmless secrets, Ones we may not ever know, Tales untellable of life and love preside there, The dazzling shimmer tells us so. They exist in the beat of your swelling hearts, These moments we long to find, Together forever is a promise we all make, Yet always seem to leave behind. Two souls proved to be a brave exception, Still combined to this very day, 65 years of hardships and blessings; A love that could never decay. We look to you for love and guidance, As you look onto each other, I’ve yet to see such an abundant love, In the eyes of any other. So with these words I shed a blessing, So small though from the heart, That every doubt will be extinguished, By looking back upon the start. God gave us these two beautiful souls, And a chance to observe your growth, Extended his generous hand, To create a love that’s graced you both. So I raise my glass to my family, And hold this example dear, For only the truest of loves survive; To grow stronger every year © 2014 sansame |
