The Misconceptions Of Time

The Misconceptions Of Time

A Poem by The AshKat Projects
"

Time always works depending on your needs. Either with you or against you. And in this case... well, when soon seems like never so... You get the gist of it..

"
Ring ring ring
A heart upbeat
Could that be
I wish - maybe
To take a look
And see who took
The time to send
A wave of hand

Time don't matter
It matters though
How soon
How long ago
How long it's been
To be once more
These minutes take
Too god damn long

A longing lasting
Wave of hope
Impatience at its grand
And every so a little more
A heart rate reaches red

Why is it that
That rush of mind
A feeling of despair
When absence says
Just wait some more
Confused frustration bare

Just like a kid
Who screams at loss
And wants and yearns for care
The happiness, anxiety
In seconds through the air

Excitement lasts
And stays up high
As long as minutes count
When talking stops
It all falls down
And eyes roll to the ground

The cycle neverending goes
Repeats the faulty tune
And when it reaches
Top most joy
Again it craves the loop

The wheels of time
Are sharp and strong
May lead one to despair
But then they turn
To moments sweet
For you and I to share
