Of a Time ForegoneA Poem by The AshKat ProjectsWhen everything seemed right...
The phone now rings at 1am
A voice responds hello A long awaited phone call A voice I've missed so long The talk begins so cold and sour As if enemies greet So distant and irrelevant Just bitterness not sweet You're not the man I loved no more A stranger on my phone I don't need no strangers though I need the one I know A choice was made of ghostly pasts The toughest one to bear Excuses, anger, tears and love One could proclaim to care You chose to walk away from me Forget all that I am You made your choice so go now be It's my turn to say farewell Mistakes and wrongs all mine to own Erase them now I can't It's far too late to make amends What's left is to forget So now I try to train my feet To make them wanna stand Forget all that there was from you And pray that I don't bend...
