That feeling..

More of an introduction rather than a story. Just a few things about moi. Kinda like a blog but,not quite.

You know that feeling when you see a movie or a tv series and it inspires you so much that you wanna try and do the very same thing it "promotes"? Well, that's exactly how it all started. Though not exactly through a movie but more like a youtube video. Actually many many youtube videos. Let's face it. We live at a time where all you see around you is social media. Either Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Youtube blah blah blah and the list goes on. And when you see all these successful people making a living out of it as media-celebrities, it's more than likely to get you affected by it and want to start a "business" of your own. Your very own walk of fame.

That's kinda how it went with me. Being a youtube lover of many vlogers, since I spent almost a year of not working (personal reasons....more of a leisure thing) I got to know pretty enough of them and got acquainted with their work and style. So at one point I said "Hey. I could do this,too.". However I realized that even though my love for the camera was big, it didn't quite suit me. I am very fond of taking selfies and stuff I mean who isn't,duh? But I am not let's say video material. At least I don't like me. Anyways, I started writing down thoughts and subjects to kinda keep myself prepared for when the time comes to push that record button and somehow an old passion of "english penning" came to the surface. I mean I always had a thing for writing. I was an awesome essay writer at school and a quick one I may add (huge pro for tests) and I loved how I expressed myself! And I use the phrase "english penning" (penning as in pen-writing) cause I am greek. Yeap, I live in Greece. And why would you say write in english instead of my maternal language? Well, cause I actually very much love it.

I remember ever since I was little, my mom and sister bought me Disney movies in english and when I say little I mean at an age where I couldn't even read! Maybe around 4-5 years old? Not quite sure. Anyways as you can tell I couldn't understand a thing they were saying other than watch the pictures and videos but, I became so used to the sounds of their voices that when the time came for me to finally learn how to read and write, both greek and english, I was so happy to meet some of the words and phrases I heard in the movies during my lessons! And learned even more from them! So in other words, I became so acquainted with the english language that early later on, I found myself so used to expressing my thoughts and everything without even the need to think of them first in greek and then translating them in english. Inside my head all that is. It just felt so natural to me that I came to think of it as my second maternal language. And even though the greek language is much richer in words,vocabulary and expressions; I found myself more passionate to say what I had to say in English. I just love it! And I do consider myself being more of a fluent speaker and writer however, I am positive I have made several mistakes by now...nah who cares,right?

What the f**ck? I turned it into an english sort of language-grammar-vocab lesson haven't I? Sorry guys. Yes I do get carried away sometimes. I am a blabber of sorts (one of my many negatives). Anyways.

In case you wondered about the name I chose for my writer's blog, Ash Kat stands for Ashlow Katis; my nickname for my "to-be" youtube channel. And projects for,you know, I did plan to start on a project. But it turned the other way round. Much more pleasing than a camera I would say. Like I said, I do love to write and express myself that way. And even if I did start vlogging, I bet I'd still write down some thoughts to keep me in truck and not be all "eh" and "eh.." all the time not knowing what to say to the camera next. Kind of like an organising method. But writing got back to me...

Well, I guess I over did it with the self mumbling over here. I suppose it is a decent introduction to kinda give you a clue as to what crazy person you're dealing with here. I mean yeah we all have our issues. And every writer has something to say. Or maybe we just want to get something out of us. Maybe we just want to get something out. Either a feeling or something inspiring or whatever it is we're thinking about. Either way it's always best to let it all out whether writing is your means of doing it,talking,screaming or whatever the heck expresses you. Whatever turns you on. In a non sexual way I mean. Or sexual. Whatever suits you. Just do it your way. Be inspired,be influenced but, in the end it's always gonna be you. Later folks. Talk...I mean write to you soon.
