Dear Sweet Child -Uncomplete-A Poem by DecemberXSunsetThis is a poem about a little girl that I was a mentor for, some school program. In the end, I'm glad I was in that program.
Dear sweet child, Eyes so wide and bright, Is it only me who can see through to your fright? Your small hand, clenching onto mine; there where we both stand. Sad thoughts come and they go, I watch you; your eyes move to and fro. Dear sweet child, What has been done, do your spirits not lift when you see the rising sun? Innocence still remains, tarnished; the events have still left you sane. Seldom, the words cross your lips, © 2008 DecemberXSunsetAuthor's Note
