Teenagers

Teenagers

A Poem by Ashley Armstrong

Not all teenagers are the same
We all have different personalities
We all have different views
We all have separate ideas of what we should do
We have our own opinions
We stand for what we think is right
We're not the same, but we're alike
We're all growing up
We're trying to understand
We're finding our beliefs
We're living our own lives
Not all teenagers are the same
We all have different likes
We listen to different songs
We like different food
And stay true to who we are
Because we are not all the same
We are all different in our own ways
Not all teenagers are the same

I definitely understand where you are coming from in this poem. I used to feel the same way and hated people labeling me with a stereotype. Teenagers are trying to find their place in life just like everyone else. Great poem :)
