Tree in the storm

Tree in the storm

A Poem by Ashley Armstrong

Leaves fall off trees
And dance in the breeze
The trees swing and creak
As the storm blows in
The thunder rumbles as lightning strikes
The trees stand their ground and drink the falling rain
Children scream and duck under the protective umbrella of green
The wind whistles between the branches
Writing a lullaby
