Distance

Distance

A Poem by Ashley Ree
"

Long distance relationships: the pain yet the happiness all in one.

"

What’s wrong with me?

What’s going on?

I don’t understand.

Always.

Always I need you.

To hear your voice.

To see your face.

To be wrapped in your arms.

But what’s wrong with me?

What’s going on.

I can’t comprehend.

You love me.

I love you.

So why aren’t we together.

I’m here.

You are there.

The days until I see you again;

Counting down...

So slowly.

The pain increasing.

I need you now.

I need your warm embrace.

I know I won’t lose you.

But distance,

Distance can kill a person.

Can it kill me?

No.

I’m strong.

Will I cry anyway?

Until the day you are home with me.

Until the day I wake up to your face.

Until the day...

We are together, again.

I know these feelings you have described. And you've managed it very well.

I like this...
With every line... I feel a soft patter
But... I want a big BANG, a big punch in the heart, and I KNOW you can give it to me (:
You have before,
So do it again!
It was nice and I felt the intensity but give it to us harder (:
Can't wait to read your next

Your words are true emotion. When distance separate two people in love. The pain can be very strong and painful. I like the flow and the emotion of this poem. Very good description in the poem. A excellent poem. Thank you.

So... I'm 18. Which is awesome. Not that it is that big of a landmark, but it's another birthday. I started this account about two months ago, maybe longer, and at that time I said I didn't write that.. more..
