glittering eyes

glittering eyes

A Poem by darkness*star1985

Dark nights

the cold rushes in

I froze to a sound

that was not my own

glittering eyes seek mine

urge to run as fast as I can

a panic scream comes

but no voice is heard

I force to seek out

what is stacking

behind that tree

the glittering eyes

still on mine

I want to turn

my face away

but losing

eye contact

could be the end for me

too far way not enough

time to run

paralyzed in this state of mind

storm comes from behind

the wind blows cold

and send me chilies

froze in an afried

unsure if death is near

I hold my breath

and wish to

disappear

no one around

to save me from

this creature

I fell it coming

I close my eyes

and is about to

say my last prayer

time stands on its end

waiting patiently until

it has ended, I can't my heart

beats when I open my eyes

the glittering eyes nowhere

insight ran as fast as I can

no longer wish to be in this place

where evil dwells, I climb into my car

and spin my tires

and hit the gas and rush down this

dark road, calm myself and think it was just

a dream, when I arrive home

glittering eyes I see, just my cat

oh, what a relief.

A very good poem. I like the feel of fear and mystery in your words. The pace of the story and the surprise ending was excellent. A outstanding poem. Thank you.

"i froze to a sound that was not my own" This is an appropriately chilling way to set up a poem that will be nothing but hectic and suspenseful from then on. At least until the twist, of course. :)

I think you mean "relief" in the last line, though.
