blank walls

poem about missing the one you love

Staring at these blank walls

seems let yesterday the were filled

with all that matter.
now these blank walls
are empty but the memories
are still intact.
there were no rules,
the endless love that we gave.
now these blank walls echo the sounds
of you laughter, and i fight to hold the tears
wondering about the mistakes i made
in letting you go, my heart sinks
when i think about you
when i dream the vision of you
and us play like a movie
and i wish i could stay asleep watching
calling you is not an option anymore
i made my choice and it hurts
but i will let you live in peace.
staring at these blank walls and remembering
it all the why we were, if you just know that
i remember the way your smile bright up the room
that the walls have imprint the laughter we
once shared, the echo's of our heart beats
that when you were with me
i could fly, if i could tell you these things
i know that these blank walls would be filled once
again with our love.
