The king has been overthrown

i was really inspired by wide awake from Katy Perry.

smashed figurines

lay on the floor

woke up from the dream

cotton candy clouds

crowns and jewels

 

The king has been overthrown

set myself free.

i fight my own evil queen

the prince can keep on riding

woke up out of the dream

 

for so long

dream of a love

all because of the story books

i read when i was young

now pages scattered the floor

dreams are dead

make up my own fairy tales

 

The kings been overthrown

were at war, i will take

the castles by forces

and burned it to the ground.

To me this poem reflects something I think we all feel at some point in life. By that I mean...losing something such as a battle against another or defeating our enemies is a big thing and a changing point. I love this by the way. And to be inspired by Katy Perry...wow. Amazing. I do read a lot more into this as well but...>.> I don't want to ramble on. Regardless of what I have to say this was a great poem.
