Humerous RazorA Poem by Ashley WhiteI wanted to die...and I still do...letting the blade carry me away but I have him to help me!
A razor kissed my wrists and drew scarlet...
My adrenaline drains from my worthless body... A smile of humor crosses my face... Don't you see...I can not die... My body is a prison... My voice a trap... My eyes are the gate..and it locks my fate.. why would you enter... You hear my screams as I am amused.... How can I love or be loved when my body bares the scars of wars previously fought.. Each battle never ending just a break for rest... Yet he kisses my lips.. He holds me close... He enters the gates of hell to only put the fire out... My amused smile turns to curiosity and laughter... His love is my heaven and his heart is my place of rest after the battle... Acceptance in his voice... Life in his eyes... Perhaps even he can turn a dance with a devil into a soothing lullaby in his arms :) © 2014 Ashley WhiteAuthor's Note
