Dear Anxiety

Dear Anxiety

A Poem by Ashley

I will always wonder
what it feels like to wake up
and not feel the weight
of everything I ever did and
everything I ever said
laying
oh so heavily
across my chest.

Thanks for writing this one. Nice to know I have a fellow traveler.

One day I am sure you will know that feeling. A lot of this weight we put on ourselves and once we realize that we all make mistakes and it is ok to make a mistake, then that weight gets lighter and lighter. Really nicely expressed.

You can't swim or fly with anchors tied to you. You'll drown or crash. There's just no good reason to drag that razorblade suitcase around. From a bi-polar, PTSD survivor.
