Low, Medium, High

I often wish I could just shut off my mind
and turn down my emotions
But
I am glad that I don't.
They remind me that I am human
that I am alive
that I can love deeply
and care immensely.
They remind me to breathe.
So I sit with it.
I let myself feel everything.
It is a part of my healing,
I won't let it consume me.

Wonderful spoken and a good mantra to live life by. I myself try to live exactly this way despite my battles with depression. I want to be truthful and uncompromising to myself. Art demands honesty and integrity. Pieces of yourself you are willing to share. To help others and possibly inspire them to a better nature within themselves.
