Hello Again

Hello Again

A Story by Ashley

Our conversations were short, yet there was so much to talk about.  Mostly we just reminisced.  I never remember being sad.  Nothing but laughter and smiles on our faces.  You would tell me such wonderful things. We spoke as if we had just seen each other the day before.  Nothing seemed missed.  I never really spoke much though. I mostly just listened to you.  The sound of your voice meant more to me than anything in those moments.  I was always so happy to hear it.  It sounded so peaceful, so calm.  I never knew where we were when we got together.  The places were always different and not always familiar but held something so beautiful.  I felt safe wherever we were.  There was an immense sense of comfort, like home.

You looked so beautiful, like you always did.  Comfortably elegant. Hair always down, brush in hand and sunglasses on your head.  It was truly you.  You were so busy though.  You had a lot of people to talk to, to see.  So many more laughs and memories to share.  You had so much to see.  Our conversations were short.  I missed them.  Every night when I fall asleep I hope to visit with you  so we can talk some more.  For when I wake, I know the conversation is over.  You always say you have to go and we never really say goodbye.  I just wake up.  A dream so surreal that I cannot wait to have it again.

No problem! :)
This is so beautiful and also so sad... The pain of loving someone that isn't as close to you as you'd like...

Keep Dreaming.
