Fleshly Organs

Fleshly Organs

A Poem by ashleydawn

Sorry.
But I'm a little more fragile
than your average robot.
I don't have an
easy to reach
reset button
that will clear my mind
and release you from
having to feel anything.
I was given fleshly organs
such as a heart
and a brain
that can't block
your blows
like a body of metal could.
Sadly, my mother
couldn't birth me
unbreakable.
