Such and awful habit

Chewing on the end of my pen

I find it replacing my meals often

when deadlines in my brain

are larger than the necessities of life

I'm not sure if

it helps me to think

or simply entertains my tongue

Regardless, plastic ingestion

will accompany my bestseller
