Your Hand is Nailed to My Wall

Your Hand is Nailed to My Wall

A Poem by ashleydawn

In the midst
of thrashing sheets
and silent screams
Between speeding tears
and please for comfort
My mind got oddly quiet
and a slight unexpected
chuckle escaped
Across the room
your hand lay outstretched
for me to take.
