Please Restrict Me

Please Restrict Me

A Poem by ashleydawn

I beg God
to protect my tongue
and guard my pen
Against the things I want to say
Well, yell really
This anger is surprising
and probably not new
Just always hidden
underneath my naive shell
It seems that words, even those
I wish to use
Would not be enough
Your tough guard would not
even flinch
I fear that you would only understand
if I cam to you
with my chest ripped open
Baring my scars.
