Expectations

Expectations

A Poem by ashleydawn

"She wants to go to Western," she told him.
"To become a teacher."
"That may be a place
to start," he chuckled.
"But I have bigger plans
for you."
With my mouth wide open
poked and prodded with tools
and the slight possibility of metal
I was unable to offer a rebuke
When my dentist told me
that I would become
President.
