You encourage

but do not understand

You push me further

yet don't partake in the journey

Simply because,

You can't

I am not you

nor you me

Those pronouns are only friendly

in fantasy

You can tell me you love it

Or even I failed

All the while never knowing what you read

I had thought the selfless encouragement

Positive reinforcements

on the sidelines

Was all I needed to be happy

Slowly I'm beginning to see

That I need someone to grasp my hand

and plunge into the journey with me

Encouraging 

Each other
