Misplacement

Misplacement

A Poem by ashleydawn

Have I left the key somewhere?
Misplaced, mis-set, misused?
The key to my mind
Have you seen it?
It seems that some of my more
Rebellious thoughts
Have thought it fun to run away
The attendance was
quite low this week
I have now grasped why
I thought my search would
be quite large, traversing all over town
under stones and behind hedges
Books stacked in a row
But alas I was wrong
My escapes have truly made their way
into your notes
And you've scripted other words around them
In an attempt to continue the game
of hide and seek
Sadly, I noticed
How familiar those words sounded
How my own please seemed to be
echoing throughout the auditorium
But when i let go of my rage
in your part of the plan
i realizes that
My devious little thoughts
had tricked you too
They made you answer my questions,
quell my aching heart,
and bring a whole new light to my life
That couldn't have been your plan
Right?
Now
Where have I placed that key?

**Possibly describe a capture of thoughts, getting them back into my mind with new meanings?**
