Stripping You of Human

Stripping You of Human

A Poem by ashleydawn

If I were to take and place you
in this small container
Stripping you of your human
Your physical being, emotions and expressions
and only took your words
Well then, I could make you anything I wanted
Is it bad that I almost prefer it this way?
No longer would I have to stare in disgust
at your less than pleasing qualities
I could simply delete them from my composition
Easily.
You just have too much going on
All the time.
When I remove the confusion,
the rushed sentences
spewed saliva and nervous chuckles
You become a really thoughtful guy
Someone who thinks about his words
Cares for my life, my family
Is it bad that
I just can't take all of you?
