It Amazes MeA Poem by ashleydawn
In all honesty
It amazes me How well I can hide reality Almost to the point Where I forget it's even there The uncanny ability I posses Can fool even the most intelligent It's almost a gift really and as with all gifts There accompanies a price Every now and again Varying from weeks to months (but always on a Tuesday) A subtle but sharp pull gravitates my body, Specifically, an outstretched hand grasps the sliver Small slender frame that contains A memory from my past Carefully captured through a single lens I remember the struggle to fit everyone on the couch and the complaints from those Who had to scrunch down in front After brief mistakes and technical difficulties This particular shot was saved Seven faces smiling back at me' Only a thin slate of glass between You and my fingertip It amazes me That we all hid our fears that day
