Candles in the Darkness

Candles in the Darkness

A Poem by Ashley
"

Isn't it better to choose when you die than let someone else do so.

"

We are candles

Our flames flicker

In the darkness

In uncertainty of our future

From above

We’re all the same

But

Some burn quick and fast

Others are barely a flash

We are so easy

To extinguish

One breath in the wrong place

Would blow our flame

To oblivion

We fear

Becoming the darkness

We fear

Losing ourselves

But isn’t it better

To be the one

The one

To choose your end

The one

To let your flame die

For at least then there is control

It’s better

Than dying

Because of a misplaced sigh

Or word in the wrong direction

So true. Candles into the darkness of this cruel world. Maybe somehow we may find the right direction. Fingers crossed x

This is very perfect write of life. You have got great experience of writing I believe. I see you have a great understanding of life and you marvellously you have converted into a poem. Very handsome work.
