In Loving MemoryA Poem by AshleeKayannFor Emily AnnForever you lie
in green grass, Surrounded by
flowers Like in the
summertime. It’s a beautiful
landscape Filled with
somber silence. My eyes search
for your place, While my soul
freely seeks A conversation; My escape. At first, our
talks are cold. I feel your stone
against my back As I lean on it. There is tension
between us: It’s been awhile, And the
atmosphere is almost Uninviting. But you never
feel any conflict, Dearest child, And you seem to
be unaware Of my flaws. Slowly, you and I
fill the space With pleasant
noise, Enjoying our time
despite its Dark and dreary
circumstances. And that, darling
sister, Is how you heal
my pain. -For Emily Ann © 2012 AshleeKayannAuthor's Note
