CinderellaA Poem by AshleeKayannProbably not the best poem I've ever written. But, it has a certain quality -- angst, or triumph. I still like it.
She's Cinderella at the ball
but someone had to make her fall. Here comes the show; come one, come all. She'll rise above it, standing tall. A princess with a pretty face who was sent on a pointless chase. She thought that he could change his ways, but found that he'd had better days. She's far too good to come in last just because he's falling fast. Away from her he must be cast, for it's her turn to have a blast. She soon will get to have some fun; she strongly told him she was done. There's nothing left from which to run. Her fight is over; her battle won. Cinderella at the ball dared him to try and make her fall. She chose to rise above it all, and stare him down; still standing tall. © 2011 AshleeKayannAuthor's Note
