Misery Is Not EcstasyA Poem by Morgan AshireThe way things are...
Love is the word that I use to describe
A deep, burning feeling in which you reside. No other could touch this place in my heart, and No time seems to pass when we are apart. All that I am is yours, my dear. Even through... Misery, torment, anger, and fear. You are the one that I wish to hold near. Closed in my arms as you lay in your dreams, Heaven is with us, even more than it seems. Apart from you, I am nothing; alone. Only you have warmed this damned heart of stone. So maybe the end truly justifies the means? My conscience is plaguing. I feel I disgrace Your radiant beauty, that I seem to misplace. Long the road has been, yet we dont' walk apart. On an even longer journey, I pray that we may start. Very different, yet alike, in so many ways we are. Even though this is the case, I thank God for everyday thus far.
