Your Sweet EmbraceA Poem by Morgan AshireThis was a piece that I wrote for Edison T. Crux's short story called "Courting Death" that was published in a compilation book called Autumn Nights on Amazon.
Yearning, I search here,
Out of my reach, Under the raging River no mortal can breech. Sing to me sweetly, Weep here discretely, Enchant me with wisdom Eternally grand, Then take me away with a touch of your hand. Entrance me with wisdom, memory, and lore. Make me remember where I came from before. Be free of the shackles of all who demand, Revile your presence, and refuse your command. At last, we shall meet, and time may disband. Come, take me to wander the land that you roam. Embrace me sweet death, so I may finally come home.
