The Mind

The first poem I ever wrote way back over six years ago. It shared a piece of old battered paper with my second creation ever. Very old and full of memories. This is where it all began. Open to review only.

 

My mind is racing.

I can’t control it.

My emotions run wild.

I can’t stop.

It won’t stop.

It’s almost over.

The pain of intelligence,

The heathen mind.

I wish it would go away.

It’s gone.

The words you've chosen develop a frenetic pace. I feel that way some days. I understand that. Heathen intelligence. I like the way those two words have situated themselves so close together. As I hear the words, each seems to be in the right place. Nothing sticks out. Everything flows as it should. I'd say this is a very good write.
