Annihilation

Annihilation

A Poem by Morgan Ashire
"

Lyric for my old band, Godsendeath, but also one of my favorite works. Could be interchanged with "Supernatural/Occult," and "Religious."

"

-When all life ceases to be and death bestows his presence amungst the ruin and rubble of what once was, when there is nothing left to be gained and all is already lost to the insatiable fires of destruction and genocide, there is nothing left to be faced, but annihilation.-

The graveyard cracks as flesh is revived.

The solemn miasma hangs by its side.

The awakened emerge from the resting they've earned.

There's no man or beast that can safely discern

The power they witness before their eyes.

Struck blind by the face of the god they despise.

Cower in fear as the undead rise.

This day is my rapture, bleeding your lies.

Sacrificed blood is the payment that hides

The shadow of truth, behind your disguise.

Baptized in blood, the blood of the lamb,

Slaughtered with purpose, rightfully damned.

This army of anguish sent to destroy

All that you covet. This deadly envoy,

As pure as an angel, yet tainted by hate,

Is sent with a mission. Annihilate.

Run from this hate filled deity.

Run from imminent tragedy.

Witness destruction of this earth.

Annihilation from it's birth.

Let the blood of the martyrs spill upon these grounds.

Very dark! Haha! I love it. Again, your tone is dark and somber like you're prophecizing the fate of humanity. There's this psychotic look in your eye. Calm but dark. Love it!!!! :D
Thanks for entering in my contest!

I enjoyed the way it flowed and the message that unfolded. Very dark and foreboding!

wow. Nice. I can almost hear the music. It comes across almost as a demonic leader's pep talk to the army before the battle is begun.

Ok i was a little bit more opinionated in that one. After speaking with you i understand more of where you are comign from. Firt impressions are often a source of woes fr people, and when i go to your profile and see hitler and rob zombie staring at me assumptions will be made.
After getting your take on it i still feel that it may be a bit choppy. That is not to say it is bad, but i do feel a smoother rhythm can be achieved. The subject matter is fine. Reminds me of some of those christian death metal bands on my mp3 player mortification, crimson thorn, horde, immortal souls, vengeance rising... ever listen to any? You would dig it...paramaecium is friggin awesome
