Tree of Hope

Tree of Hope

A Poem by Ashira Macy

She watched in childlike wonder

As hope fell from the trees,

Honeyed sanity swirling

On a tender autumn breeze.

Most glittering and golden

In the vanishing sunlight;

Some still painted crimson

No strangers to great plight.

They nestled in her hair

Showering her with earthy grace.

And as her fear melted away

Humbled tears adorned her face.

She danced that night with nature

Beneath the pumpkin harvest moon

Her demons left un-slain,

But the trees all whispered, “Soon.”

This instantly brought to me "There's a little black spot on the sun today" "I have stood here before in the pouring rain, With the world turning circles running 'round my brain. I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign, But it's my destiny to be the Queen of pain..."
It is not so much the music behind the words as it is the image created by the writing. It came at me as a much needed moment of redemotion and a good time to trun a new chapter in the journey. Hope requires the counterpart in action effort and when we are tired is difficult. Redemption then one say at the time re- building in search for a new horizon.

Hopeful writing

Thankyou

Favorite lines: hope fell, honeyed sanity, tender breeze, earthy grace, and the last couplet.

Great write, thanks for sharing.

Gave me a mystical, anticipatory, dig my toes into the loose dirt and let the wind pull at my hair, feeling. :)

This is really quite beautiful, in style, in form, and in content. Well done, with lovely, images.

I like the comforting golden leaves dropping on her hair...there is a finality to autumn, the leaves dying yet showing their colors right down to the end...but this poem expresses hope also...

that nature is her friend, and that it is in her nature to survive, no matter what...
and she will find peace.

nicely done...glad you are back. The words fell from your pen like the leaves from the tree in autumn...swirling, spinning but not thinning.

She lives, and here I thought you fell off the WC sphere. the beauty not only of autumn, but wonder. it delivers the picturesque quality of hope, true innocence, before meeting the real tomorrow.
