aaaaaaawwwwwww! what a fine tribute to your friend .. i actually really like the font and color! it works with the theme quite well says i ... thoroughly appreciate the reference to the Celts .. :) and i am equally intrigued by "...French-tricking" .. guess i shall go a googling to see what i can find .. your poem captured and held me ... for me the change to action in
"Swimming back…
Back…
Backwards…
is wonderful .. felt the drifting so comfortably!
very enjoyable read for me!

I am afraid you probably won't find anything on Google for "French-tricking", as only a few people I grew up with would understand the reference off the bat. Thank you as always for your wonderful review my friend!
A sweet poem! I am sure your lucky friend would have been so glad reading this piece!
For me , the magic moment in your poem was -
"Swimming back…
Back…
Backwards…"
These lines kind of pushed me back into the memories of my Besties where we had spend a lot of great moments together!
And these lines-
"Now we whisper
Our wishes through
Fruit flavored smoke"
Makes us feel that though we are not near now , yet prayers would always keep us together ! And the last lines clearly show how much you wanna be with your besty!
Wonderful piece! Thanks for sharing this ! Gud day !
I loved the flow and easy, breezy, fun October trick or treating inspired feel of this one. It had friendship and great memories stamped all over it. Great write!
can feel the sweet, nostalgic tone in this one.. enjoyed some of the phrasing and imagery.. one place I tripped a little was..
"Of tangerine golden,
Cloud kissed October Sky."... the "of" there.. not sure.. but flows better in my head with "by".. and "skies" instead of sky.. but again.. my head.. my opinion.. just sharing..
like the "french-trickling".. made me smile.. the thought.. the way you worded it..
was a sweet write for an obviously dear friend.. could feel the pleasant affectionate tone throughout.. well done girl..
