Waterfalls and WildflowersA Poem by Ashira MacyAs we sailed away, Tides melding bronze With vivacious
greens And calm blue hues, Spectacles overtook
senses.
Water came crashing
down The rocky slopes In a liquid
avalanche Of droplets painted
ivory, prisms Reserved for
dreamers like you.
We passed through The downward stream, The past hitting us
like bricks And soaking us Through to our memories.
You just laughed - A little water never
hurt anyone. And I reached out To the side of the
cavern, Plucking that golden
wildflower
Tucking it behind
your ear. I smiled as you
danced, Splashing in the
puddles, And singing in the
rain Of childhood innocence. © 2014 Ashira MacyAuthor's Note
