Ice ParadiseA Poem by Ashira MacyFjord ho! Ferry us north Upon the back of a Great sea beast. As we glide across The water like a Skipping stone We feel the chill Of cleansing rain On our wind burned faces. Iceberg ahoy! Bluer than the sky In the summertime. A clash of thunder And ice calves down Its glacial cliffs Into emerald tides. Our breath disperses In clouds of steam A mirror of the mist Rising on the water. As waves lap Against our boots we know - This is not merely paradise… This is Valhalla. © 2014 Ashira MacyAuthor's Note
