Juneau

Juneau

A Poem by Ashira Macy
"

I have been in Alaska the past week and have been majorly inspired.

"

Long have I heard

Of misty mountains’ majesty,

But it never dawned fully

Until I saw her there in Juneau.

Jutting up in magnificent grandeur -

Clouds hung around her in adoration,

Kissing her face

As two streams of crystal tears

Trickled down her jade cheeks

In awe of her own splendor.

I sighed and breathed in

Her earthy perfume

As I swam in serenity.

Thank you Eve, I didn't want to leave either.
Alaska really is beautiful and breathtaking. My husband lived there for a few months before we got married. He loved it, aside from his roommate who tried to bankrupt us.

This piece is well written and vivid in description. Thank you fir sharing.
