We're Not in Oz Anymore

We're Not in Oz Anymore

A Poem by Ashira Macy
"

3 Senryu poem

"

Clutch me fervently

Ere the galaxy’s burden

Crushes me anew.

As the squall bursts out

Traction loses discipline

Footing trips on air.

Oz gone forever

No Kansas to click home, so

Bunker down and pray.

The last lines really struck me. It's like being caught between a rock and a hard place.
Can't click your heels to go home, yet your current location is gone... You can't stay.
I wonder if people living in war torn countries feel displaced, yes. I imagine they do, stupid question.

You are spot on. Not much you can do when the world around you is crumbling away.

It could be anything tragic in life; thought you did a great job. It always seems like something is so, so terribly awful: Clutch me Feverently...Footing trips on air. Bunker down and pray. Where do we go; what do we do when we feel so alone. Very nice work. Thank you Ashira Macy!

Quirky and unique, definitely makes a statement, there's some bad juju going on in here. :)

Yes you are right.. was a pleasure sweety :)
I would't equate this a strange although the request of teeling you what I think could be considered foolish by some as that would be unleashing me and letting me be me so maybe not today. It seems that the intention is to re-fit the vessel of confusion - The second to incoorporate - To assimilate and make it mine the third one. But they way you do things is what shines Ashira your wrtings is friendly and embracing you are not up to scare anyone or push anything away and as a consequence it pours out in your writings be it a few lines or many lines.

Thankyou

Great job on these senryus, I really like the images you have created. With the Wizard of Oz in my mind, the second senryu is my favorite because I can really see the action happening- losing your bearings and all sense of control through a storm. Nicely done (and not too strange)! ;)
