To My Big Brother

I wrote this when my brother and I were in a fight for a bellwork assignment in Creative Writing. The assignment was "Write something you want to say to someone, but never would."

You have no idea

how much you truly mean.

You really are so

very much to me.

 

Your brotherly love

makes my worst day bright

and sadly, even Dre

can't compare this time.

 

When you say

"I'm proud of you, sissy"

I feel so accomplished

and so happy

 

It's really hard to say

these things to you, however

Because as much as I care

your commitment issues get in the way.

 

I feel you slipping away

and it makes me feel so sad

that telling you is

just plain impossible for me.

 

But I truly love you lots

and even though we may not be

"forever and eternity"

I still love you like my brother

 

because my brother you will always be.

The picture is of a project him and I worked on. It was the only project of the year where he chose me as his partner over another girl in the class, Emily, and even then I think it was only because Emily was taken.
