A place among the stars

A place among the stars

A Poem by Ashinna

You ever see the sun set
purple skies and the drowning stars
hanging on by a tiny thread
but you fall into the milky way
Swishing back and forth in the mouth of the universe

A shooting star crashes past
You feel the blast but stay so calm
Flipping through the weightless
Tumbling upon nothing
Thinking about the possibilities,
Come rescue me.

Cast your smile towards the sun,
let him know you're there.
The pieces of your little puzzle,
will soon fall into place.
Nothing is a mess, its just a spread of what's to be
Take the hand of the shooting star
Let it set you free..

"Nothing is a mess, it's just a spread of what's to be"

I find that line extremely clever.
Makes me wish I'd come up with that. Hmph.
