Gone.

Gone.

A Poem by Ashinna
"

I had to rewrite it from memory, its not the same from what i had before.. But whatever. i hate technology, its gives you a hand then f***s you over..

"

The lights were so dim

Our heads were hung low.

Music played softly in the back,

It was your favorite song.

For a second it made me smile

I then refreshed my mind

and  realized that you were some where else

High above the mountains,

Way Beyond the sky.

Someplace I cannot reach. . .

I'd run and run

Just to be closer to you

Towards  where I had thought I saw you last

When I had reached that place,

I found nothing but a cold empty place.

At that moment I remembered . .

A chill ran up my spine

A reoccurrence of pain jolted through my body.

I stood in the rain, hands covering my face

Bitter tears fell . . .

I miss you

I love the image this creates. You describe it as an extraordinary and powerful memory. My favorite stanza is the second one with the description of being way beyond the sky.
