Inevitable

Inevitable

A Poem by Ashinna
"

blah.

"

It took me sometime to comprehend it all

The way the stars shone that night i knew something was about to change

I took a deep breath, and finally brought my eyes to meet yours.

Your beautifully decieving eyes broke all of my barriers, saw all that I was.

Sought out my weakness.

I was well aware of your actions,

but somehow I could not let my eyes leave yours.

The moon added a new beauty to your face,

A new glow to your eyes.

At that moment something so powerfully addictive was created,

And you were the essence of it all.

The wind took a weird spin,

Adding a new sound to the world.

My head started spinning, my heart was beating sourly

I had to leave.

But you had my hands in yours...

& I knew that I couldn't just run away,

not from this, not from you.

Your eyes became tense, cold, then empty.

I stood still, but so badly did i want to collapse.

I wanted to crawl into the freezing dark night. . .

. 'blah' is good ... very real ... and yet so skillful and sensitive ... your words ... they cruise ... and mark milestones on moments ... another exceptional word wizard in the cafe ... ah, how truly nice ...

You have an innate knowledge of handling words. I would love to see you write of someone you have no emotional connection with, the stranger you see daily, spin a story.
