Chapter 2

Maria

     So you've met Aurora  and she’s introduced me but here’s my side. I’m a fallen angel the reason I fell was because I fell for a human but sadly I lost the memory of the boy that I watched for a year .I’ve been on earth for about 7 years now and I still don’t have something’s down like what cell phones are for and what the deal is with owls those things are creepy but kind of funny. So back to our story,  I was so excited that I was dragging Aurora  behind me as we went down the stairs to the lower level of the shopping distracted  to the bookstore Aurora  fell down the stairs she wasn't even hurt.

  

  we had finally got to the store and I went to the love novels and got my books as I walked to see if Aurora  was done I peeked around and saw her talking to some guy and so I went to check out then I saw a few guys come in and realized that it was the blue fire rose gang. I checked out quick and saw Aurora  rushing towards me, but one of the guys had thrown 3 knives I dropped my books on the counter and jumped in front of Aurora  and pulled out my wooden sword and 2 of the knife stuck in the sword and the last one hit me right my arm Aurora  freaked out and yelled well more like screamed in my ear

”are you okay!”. I grabbed her arm and said

“let’s go now!”

We ran out and I pulled out the knife attached a smoke bomb and throw it right back at the gang so they couldn’t see where we're going. We got back to the apartment and both fell to the ground exhausted.  Aurora  got up and went to get something but as she came back I let my wing out and healed myself and I yelled out to her

“you might want to wait to come back into the room I’m using holy heal.“

After a few minutes she came back in and looked at my arm she made a comment but I didn’t hear her but she started laughing so I joined in the laughter. She went to her room and yelled about doing her homework. But I told her I finished and offered to help if she needed it so after she closed her door I went to my room but down my booked Aurora  grabbed and I went right back out  to cook dinner just for me Aurora  rarely ate dinner with me. so I took a bath and went to sleep I woke up early and made breakfast the next day.Aurora  ate with me and we head out to school when we got closer to the school I saw a pale guy standing near the wall looked like he was waiting for someone.

    

    We got right in front of him and he joined us as we continued to walk we got to the gate and I was a little mad, but I had a bad feeling about Aurora  and I going thru the front so I said: “Aurora  you and your…” I paused

“guy friend“

I stopped mid-sentence and pulled out my bamboo sword I had put on my back the morning for practice today. The guy looked at me and nodded and started to pull Aurora  to the short cut to the back gate but sadly Aurora  caught a glimpse of the gang and the dude still pulled her away.

  

   I head into the front the other student ran past the gang and me. There 6 gang members waiting for me they had pulled out knives and were ready to fight I ran toward 3 on the right and knocked them out I turned to get the 4th but he punched me and sent me to the ground the overwhelmed me and kicked me and kicked me I was passing out I could see a teacher trying to pull them off and grab me I was safe, but they were still coming the beat the teacher and knocked him out and grabbed me by my hair and started kicking me again.

   

 I passed out I woke up in the hospital and a nurse said I was out for a month and gave me a pain pill as I sat up I felt instant pain in every bone of my body I understood why she gave me the medicine I took the pill and signed out and went home and waited for Aurora  I texted her

“can you get my missed work”

she replied “I got all of it already it in your room on your desk”

so I started on my homework and looking at the note teachers  had given me so when Aurora  came home with the same guy who had kept her from fighting I realized who it was it was the guy Luke she liked his manga and I guess he went to our school now.

    I was tired and in pain but just as I was about to get up Aurora  had brought  me my pain medicine and a cup of water I took it and Aurora  went out for a while after that I cleaned up and went to my room a good while later I heard the door close and went out and saw Aurora   laying on the couch I went to get something to drink without letting out a word and went back to my room a few minutes later she knocked on my door and I told her to come in and we talked about if I should go to school tomorrow I decide to go and after that she left my room and I went to bed after a really hot shower.

The next few days were pretty normal and we still walked with Luke to school but after five days went by I was getting stuff out of my locker I went to close the locker door and I noticed that a piece of paper was stuck were the locker door closes I grabbed it and opened  it.

It say

Can you meet me at lunch time I want to speak to you, please?

I wondered who it was from, but it didn’t have a name on it so I throw it away and went on with my day till lunch I debated if I should go or not so I grabbed my wooden sword hid it in the bushes and wait several minutes went by. I was just about to leave when I heard footsteps and as I looked to where the footstep was coming from it was a guy as he got closer his  face became clear it was the same guy who had asked me here before, but I never found out why. So now he was in front of me red faced and looking around trying not to look at me so I thought I would speak before it got so awkward I would just run or maybe he would. I tried to say it as nicely as I could

“so why did u ask me out here?”

“Because I wanted to confuse something to you.”

“what is it?”

still puzzled by why he was being so bashful when just as I was about to speak he lifted his head and looked me dead in the eye and yelled out

“I…WANNA ASK YOU TO GO ON A DATE WITH ME PLEASE!”

My eyes widen and my face became red at the out bust. I didn’t even know the guy’s name and he wanted to go on a date. I tried to play it cool as my voice cracked from embarrassment.

“what's your name first of all”

“it’s Shawn ….Shawn hunter.”

“okay but Shawn please try to act normally on the date “ I smiled trying to ease his mood

He smiled back

“great hmm  can I get your number? I kind of know where you live but I need to get your number.”

I look away well that’s creepy he knows where I live looks like after the date I’ll be locking the door with all three.

“okay.” I gave him my number and we both left to go back to lunch I was eating in my classroom with Aurora  and luke. Luke did have class with us he was a senior
