Christmas: an Acrostic

Christmas: an Acrostic

A Poem by Ashes
"

Not your typical holiday poem, and important to be recognized, because the holidays aren't full of joy for many, pandemic style or not.

"
christ came this day, but you won't find
Him here in my hell of a home, but
Rather, you will find pain and
Insecurity, as well as a myriad of other
Strong, unpleasant emotions and sensations
That don't deserve to disrupt the
Magic of the season, yet
Are always present, because
Safety is something I have never known.

The inevitable contrasts of the Season of Joy sadly can bring pain to many. Still, don't give up hope. Time changes all things, both the seeming good and the seeming bad.

A reminder that Christmas day can be very lonely for some. It will be for many this year and the pandemic is making it worse. A serious acrostic without the mention of a bauble. Nicy penned Ashes.
